Why donate through ANMA?"
The difference between donations made through CNP and ANMA is that ANMA is a tax exempt 501 (c) (3) organization while CNP is not, its just a non-profit organization. Any donations made through ANMA can be included in the Charitable deductions section of your tax return for this year. This will reduce your Gross Income and thus, taxes at the marginal rate, which is about 20-30%. Therefore a $500 donation ends up costing you net about $350-$400. The saving will be seen in your tax refund or reduced tax in 2008. Technically, donors williing to donate $500 through CNP ought to be willing to give over $600 through ANMA. Not that it really happens.

When CNP was founded we agreed with ANMA that it would serve as the 'fiduciary agent' for tax exempt fund raising. CNP would use ANMA as the vehicle for raising tax exempt funds in situations where it was justified. Hundreds of organizations across the US use this system and we were advised by the consultants that this was the way to go. We have used this in a number of situations before and ANMA approval has not been a problem but getting funds quickly has been a minor issue. Remember, the check has to be made out to ANMA and ANMA will write a check to CNP.
